So, this is my first post here. I built a computer that I had been buying piece by piece. This is replacing my 4 year old Socket A system. It’s a big step up for me. Anyway, here are the specs:

Motherboard
Asus P5K-E Wifi
Memory

CPU cooling

I plan on adding a memory card reader and an OCZ Vendetta 2 cpu cooler later. I got this system overclocked up to 3.6ghz, but with temps that were way too high.
Here are some pictures:

I started with loading XP Pro, and partitioning the drive within the Windows installer as NTFS. I left ~600 GB for Windows. After that, I had to change my sata configuration to AHCI mode, which took quite a bit of tweaking in Windows. Next, I installed OSX 10.5.2 (Kalyway), and used the disk utility within the OSX disc to partition ~250 GB more as HFS+. After OSX was done, it was time for Ubuntu. I installed it on the remaining ~100 GB. After it was done, I did some tweaking in GRUB so that it would show the OSX install and allow me to boot to it. Then back to Ubuntu to switch it to Ubuntu Studio. I had a bit off a struggle getting OSX to update, and had to end up reinstalling it. Got it working now though.
Now I am in the process of loading all my software. It’s been fun, and quite a learning experience.
